As baby photographers, we’re always on the look-out for new photo products that we can offer our clients. Because most parents wish to turn at least some of the portraits from their children’s sessions into keepsakes, baby photographers and 
newborn photographers who are able to offer a wide variety of high quality boutique products are often those with loyal followings and a steady stream of new clientele.
Like many other baby photographers, I am continuously brainstorming new ways to transform the portraits I take during newborn, infant and child sessions at my studio into beautiful pieces of photo art that can be shared or proudly hung in my clients’ homes. While most parents wish to purchase gallery wrapped canvases or prints of their little ones for their own use, they’re often eager to share their children’s portraits with loved ones but may not wish to buy some of the larger or higher priced items, like large gallery wrapped canvases, to give as gifts. This is where birth announcements and collage designs come in as the perfect way for families to share some of the images from their children’s sessions.
Free Templates for Baby & Newborn Photographers
While I also offer my clients items like keepsake photo boxes and story albums, creating original collage designs and birth announcements is one way I’m able to differentiate my offering from other baby photographers and newborn photographers.
In fact, I regularly create new templates from which my clients can choose to create memorable birth announcements and collage images, and because I have such a variety of designs at my disposal now, I’ve decided to share my templates with other baby photographers and newborn photographers.

Adding birth announcements and collages to your product offering is not only a great way to satisfy clients’ wants and needs for photo products that can be easily shared, but it’s also a highly effective marketing strategy for baby photographers to adopt. When clients send out birth announcements to all of their friends and family members, featuring the beautiful portraits that you took, this is one of the best ways to attract new business. Perhaps some of these friends or family members are also looking for newborn photographers, and the birth announcements are the ultimate testimony for your skills as a photographer.
The same can be said for collage designs; what better way to give prospective clients a sneak-peek of your portfolio than with an image that actually features a few of the different portraits taken during a session? Encourage your clients to share their children’s portraits by offering these boutique products because ‘word of mouth’ is the absolute best form of advertising for baby photographers.
