It’s always nice when we capture an image of a newborn baby with eyes wide open. This little guy was so cooperative and when he opened his eyes he was calm and happy so we were able to capture his beautiful.

This big sister was proud to have her pictures taken with her baby brother. Posing an infant baby with an older sibling can often be a challenging image to capture. This big sister made it easy to capture a photograph with her new baby brother. She was a happy and smiling big sister for her photos.
We were also able to pose the family together with their new baby for a beautiful portrait.
Tips for Preparing for Your Infant Portrait Session
Arrive on time for your newborn session if you can. We realize it can be challenging to get out the door with a brand new infant but it does help to get an early start on the day.
Newborn infants do best first thing in the morning. As the day goes by they are often restless and more awake. The earlier you get started on your session, the more time your photographer will have to capture beautiful poses for you.
Please feed your infant prior to arriving at the photography studio and to get baby to have a good burp. A well fed baby is usually a sleepy and happy baby!
The car ride is very soothing to infant babies and they often fall into a deep sleep while on the journey to their portrait session.
We can take time to top up baby before we get started taking pictures but it does help to save more time for posing if they are fed prior to arriving.
If you are breastfeeding, we take as many breaks as necessary whenever required. If you are bottle feeding bring extra bottles to feed your little one. An infant baby eats more than usual during a newborn photography session as this helps them stay in a deep deep sleep. You will be surprised by how much your baby will eat during a photography session. Giving baby a quick feeding can be an easy way to settle him or her and get them back in a deep slumber for newborn posing.
Babies who have a happy well fed tummy will more than likely result in a baby that will easily cooperate for being posed beautifully.
We are together for awhile during your baby photographer session. Sessions are never rushed. We have cable tv, Netflix and cable internet to help keep you entertained. Bottles of water are always available but it is a good idea to bring snacks in case you get hungry.
If your baby happens to be fussy, gassy or has many bowel movements on the day of your session, we will spend more time together. Every so often, babies are cluster feeding on the day of their session and that’s okay too. We just work with whatever happens.
