Registration – A $500 Cdn. deposit is required to hold your spot and is non-refundable.
Cancellation – Your deposit of $500 Cdn. is non-refundable. The remaining balance is due by August 22, 2012. Should a cancellation be requested after the remaining balance is paid, the remaining balance will be refunded if you can find someone to fill your spot.
What You Will Learn
Day 1 – $1,200 Cdn.
Learn to master natural light photography, exposure basics, custom white balance, how to set up for a newborn session, safe posing of newborn babies, soothing techniques, and relating with your clients. There will be 2-3 newborn models over the course of the day.
Day 2 (Optional Add On) – $500 Cdn.
Refresh what was learned throughout Day 1 with an additional newborn model. In the afternoon, learn business practices, effective marketing strategies, digital processing and managing workflow.
Day 3 (Optional Add On) – $500 Cdn.
Chandra understands that working with natural light is not always a viable option. Learn studio lighting, working with pregnant models and transitional posing for a successful maternity portrait session. There will be an introduction to studio portrait lighting in the morning followed by 2 to 3 pregnant models throughout the day. We will learn lighting and set-up techniques for high key lighting, creative lighting techniques and silhouette images.
What You Need
DSLR – you should be comfortable shooting in manual mode
Basic knowledge of Photoshop is recommended
50 mm 1.4 lens
Macro lens is suggested but not required. Chandra does a lot of her work with a 105 mm macro lens
Laptop is optional but would be helpful to follow along during the digital processing part of class
Class Size
Class size will be limited to 6 photographers for an intimate learning experience.
