A Sneak Peek of Sweet Owen’s Baby Portraits, a Little Boy Who Couldn’t Wait to Enter the World!

Working as a Toronto newborn photographer for many years now, I’ve met hundreds of wonderful families and even had the pleasure of working with many of those families on more than one occasion. Such was the case with little Owen, whose parents first came to me for maternity photography before the arrival of their first child, and who then visited me again for newborn photography when Owen’s big sister was born. I was thrilled to have the opportunity to work with this family again recently, which is when I took these baby portraits.

Baby Portraits for Preemies

Little Owen could not wait to be born and decided to arrive much earlier than everyone had expected. This being the case, the baby portraits you see here were actually taken when Owen was a few days older than my 5 to 8 day ideal for newborn photography. Over the years, however, while working as a Toronto newborn photographer, I’ve learned that as long as the baby is still under their gestational due date, they’re typically sleepy and curly enough to pose the way I do babies that are between 5 and 8 days old.

From this small sampling of baby portraits I’ve included here, you can see that this handsome little boy posed well for a collection of very memorable images.

Babies that arrive prematurely is the perfect example of why we leave confirming the actual day and time for the newborn photo session until right after the baby is born. If you’re pregnant and looking to book a Toronto newborn photographer, however, it’s best to call and let me know your due date now, so that we can determine a rough date for when the baby portraits will be taken. Of course, babies can and do arrive early and late, all the time, and so I’m flexible and willing to accommodate you and your baby’s schedule.
